The market has opened with extreme losses on Wednesday. The Sensex BSE is down 223.81 points or 0.9 percent at 25428.03 and the NSE Nifty slips 74.65 points or 0.9 percent at 7737.35. Around 112 shares have progressed, 369 shares declined, and 29 shares are unaltered.
Vedanta, Tata Steel, Axis Bank, Tata Motors and ICICI Bank are major losers while Infosys, TCS and Hero are top gainers.
The Indian rupee extended losses for the second continuous session. The rupee ruptured 66-detriment for a dollar in ahead of early trade, down 14 paise to 66.02 per dollar contrasted with 65.88 a dollar in past session.
