The stock market has opened feeble on September F&O expiry day. The BSE Sensex is down 71.40 points or 0.3 percent at 25751.59 and the NSE Nifty slips 10.45 points or 0.1 percent at 7835.50. Around 267 shares have progressed, 160 shares declined, and 29 shares are unaltered.
Lupin, NTPC, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Auto and HUL are top gainers while ICICI Bank, HDFC, Axis Bank and Tata Steel are major losers in the Sensex.
The Indian rupee has expanded its fall in ahead of early trade shortcoming in global equities. The currency has opened at 66.20 a dollar, down 23 paise or 0.34 percent contrasted with 65.97 a dollar in past session.
Oil prices edged up on Thursday in the wake of taking a hit in the past session because of a blended US stockpiles report, yet experts cautioned that headwinds stayed set up for the under-weight commodity.
MCX SILVERM November contract was trading at Rs 35532 up Rs 65, or 0.18 percent. The SILVERM rate touched an intraday high of Rs 35572 and an intraday low of Rs 35494. So far 1478 contracts have been traded. SILVERM prices have moved down Rs 7528, or 17.48 percent in the November arrangement in this way.
