The market has ended on strong note with support from index heavyweights. The Sensex ended up 292.80 points or 1 percent at 28152.40, and the Nifty was up 80 points or 0.9 percent at 8672.15. About 1246 shares have advanced, 1413 shares declined, and 181 shares are unchanged. Asian Indices traded with good positive leads. Nikkei hiked 184 points to 16919, Hang Seng hiked 186 points to 22766 and Shanghai Composite hiked 48 points to 3051. Indian Sectors finished broadly higher today with BSE Bankex leading the region. BSE Bankex hiked 433 points to 21757, Bank Nifty closed at 18963 with 323 points up and BSE Auto closed at 21404 with 226 points lead.

Losers: BPCL, Idea Cellular, Cipla, Infosys, Tech Mahindra
