Sensex rises over 150 points, Nifty around 9450; Expert Views

Stock Market News: Equity benchmarks continued to trade higher in morning, backed by banking & financials, metals and auto stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 121.43 points to 30,309.58 and the 50-share NSE Nifty gained 39.45 points at 9,440.35. The broader markets extended gains, with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices up 1.1 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively. About 1454 shares advanced against 948 declining shares on the BSE. ITC, ICICI Bank, HDFC, SBI and Mahindra & Mahindra were leading contributors to Sensex gains while Infosys, Reliance Industries, TCS, Adani Ports and Wipro were losers.

Expert View: Yes Bank, Titan, and Idea Cellular, among others, are on the radar of analysts on Monday.

Commodity Market News: Basmati exports from the country was seen a decline of about 4.90 percent, the export share of Basmati from the country is about 20 percent. The export volume for Basmati is estimated at 4 million tons against the 4.046 million tons of previous year. The domestic prices of Wheat and Maize have remained higher than the global market even though the export value and volume declined. This has also restricted the prospects of Indian commodity exports in the global market.

The Sensex traded at 27133.05, High of 27299.80 and Low of 26989.49 and Nifty is traded at 8209.85, High of 8254.95 and Low of 8153.80 on intraday levels. 

Lupin the Pharmacy company expected to announce its quarterly result with a net profit of 621.4 crore, up 12.4 percent as against the year-ago result.

Stock market show relief; Sensex up 400 points

The stock market has opened strong, Sensex is up 382.29 points to 26981.40 and Nifty up 110.65 points to 8167.95, led by banking and FMCG Sectors. 

The biggest FMCG company Hindustan Unilever (HUL) will report its quarterly result on Friday. Profit after tax is expected to increase 9.8 percent to Rs 958 crore for as compared to the previous year earnings. 

Stocks that are in a news today's are HUL, SAIL, Titan Company, M&M, L&T, Reliance Power, Tata motors and United Bank. 

India is projected to achieve highest annual GDP growth rate of 7.9 percent over the next 8 years, overtake its rival China, according to a Center for International Development (CID) at Harvard University in its report.

Sensex rebound, Nifty above 8100; IT and FMCG lead, Hero up.

The stock market back on track with Sensex in the green, Sensex is up 37.55 points at 26754.92 and Nifty is down 7.65 points at 8089.35. 

TCS topped on Sensex, up 2.7 percent followed by Infosys and Bajaj Auto with 2 percent gains. Bharti Airtel, L&T, Coal India and BHEL climbed over 1 percent. ITC and HDFC also supported the market with marginal gains. 

The Asian market fall badly, Nikkei fell about 200 points on the early trading session. 

Oil prices fall after hitting the highs in 2015 on Thursday morning session in Asian trading moved to take profit on multi-week rally. 

The commodity market opened with little fall in the prices of Gold, Silver and Crude oil in the morning trading session.

Sensex and Nifty still down 2%, Oil and Pharma fall Sharply.

The stock market still down and continue to trade lower, Sensex is down 476.56 points traded at 26963.10 while Nifty is down 148.40 points traded at 8176.40. 

The Indian rupee has opened higher 10 paise up at 63.34 per dollar compared to previous day's closing value of 63.44. 

State Bank of Travancore's fourth quarter, net profit climbed 4 times a year on year to Rs 192 crore, supported by other income and operating profit. 

Bank of Baroda decreased the Base rate up to 0.25 bps. 

The Commodity Market has opened with the positive movement and shows upward movement in Gold, Silver, and Crude.

5 May 2015 Sensex & Nifty volatile, Tata Steel up 3.4 percent

The stock market has opened lower but started to gain its strength, Sense is up 71.45 points at 27.562.05 and Nifty is up 19.25 points at 8351.20. 

HDFC, ITC, Infosys, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto, Cipla, NTPC and Coal India lost 1-2 percent while Tata Steel topped the buying list on Sensex, up 3.4 percent. 

Kotak Mahindra Bank's fourth quarter result expected to jump 19.3 percent year on year to Rs 485.67 crore, according to the CNBC Poll. 

In the Commodity Market, Gold and Silver opened on a lower note while Crude oil has opened flat, no much movements. 

Results Today- ABB India, Dabur India, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Century Textiles.

4 May, Sensex up by 300 pts while Nifty near 8300

Sensex made intraday high on 27386.60 and low on 27159.45 while the other index NSE Nifty make intraday high on 8292.65 and low on 8220.45. 

Here are the stocks that are in a news today for various reasons like HDFC Bank hike service fee up to 50 percent, Nestle, GAIL, Vodafone India, Bharti Airtel and Idea cellular. 

The automobile industries like M&M, Tata Motors, General Motors and Maruti Suzuki are in a news because of their higher growth in sales. 

NTPC Sign 4000 MW power expansion agreement with the Jharkhand government, it is a joint venture between two of them where NTPC hold the 74 percent stake in this agreement. 

Coal India has registered a production growth of 10.7 percent at 41.52 million tonnes in April over the corresponding month of 2014.

On the global front the official purchasing managers Index(PMI) from china which measures the manufacturing growth show no improvement from the previous measures and still on the 50.1 as per the April market survey. 

The Lok sabha passes the Finance Bill of 2015 which was presented on Thursday and later it will pass by the Lok sabha as per the voice vote, this bill contains the Government Tax proposals for financial year of 2016. 

Grasim industries profit is expected to fall 12 percent year on year to Rs 112 crore, according to the market analyst. Ultratech the major contributor in the profit of Grasim industries. 

Oil marketing companies raise the price of petrol and diesel Rs 3.96 and 2.37 per litre respectively after the rate cut in the month of April.

Sensex below 27000; fell 227 points, Nifty gets weak on 30 April

Sensex traded at 27000.38, high on 27242.05 and low on 26924.14 while Nifty traded at 8172.80, high on 8229.40 and low on 8147.45. 


RBI imposes a penalty of 1.5 crore on each of this bank Dena Bank, OBC and BOM for violation of guidelines like KYC and Anti-money laundering norms. 

In the local domestic commodity market, the Gold, Silver and Crude opened weaker while NCDEX show some positive moves. 

The Indian rupee opened on 63.51 with 21 paise weak against per dollar on Thursday. As per the India Forex report, it may touch the 64 in near future. 

MCX Gold @ June traded at 27104.00, High of 27160 and Low of 27100, our financial experts says it's best time to buy the gold for intraday trading. 

MCX Crude oil @ May contract traded at 3731.00 and its time to buy and make a profit on 3760 and give SL on 3720. 

MCX Silver @ May contract traded at 37315.00, High of 37451.00 and low of 37270, Buy on this level and exit on 37600 as per experts.

29 April Stock Market traded Marginally lower, Sensex down 178 points

The stock market trading under the selling pressure in the morning session. Sensex fell 159 points at 27237.20 and Nifty down 46 points at 8239.00. 


Shares of HDFC, ITC, TCS and Vedanta fell around 1-2 percent followed by Bharti Airtel, SBI and Infosys with little losses. 

However, Axis bank topped the buying list in the Sensex and up 2 percent ahead of fourth quarter earnings. 

The Indian rupee opened lower at 63.22 per dollar on Wednesday against 63.15 on Tuesday. 

Wipro the big IT company may cut 30 percent of its employees because a company going to invests in the automation and artificial intelligence which reduces the need of human capital. 

Crude oil May contract prices traded at 3615.00 with high on 3616 and low on 3605, as per our experts it will show buying for safe trading in crude oil and will give good a profit.

28 April 2015 Stock Market show positive movements; Sensex up by 150 points and Nifty 50 points.

27 April Sensex slips badly closed down 261 points at 27176.99

The stock market dragged sharply by oil & gas, pharma, FMCG and banking Sector which shows a loss in the whole index. Sensex fell 260.95 point at 27176.95 and Nifty down by 91.45 points at 8213.80. 

Tops gainers – Maruti, Wipro, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors and Vedanta 


Top Losers – BHEL, SBI, HDFC, ICICI and Dr Reddy 

ICICI Bank hopefully turned down what was expected from them on Monday with the profit rising 10.2 percent year-on-year to Rs 2,922 crore in the quarter ended March 2015. 

MCX Silver @May traded at 36100, High 36255 and Low 36060, We feel that at this point it should be appropriate to Buy for intraday. 

MCX Gold @JUNE traded at 26720, High 26800 and Low 26707, Sell would be preferred by our experts.

Sensex wiped out all the gain of 2015 at stock market and touch the ground position.

Infosys fell 6 percent dragging the major indices sharply due to its fourth quarter result shows 4.7% declination in its revenue. The Sensex fall 297.08 points or 1 percent at 27437.94 and the Nifty lost 93.05 points or 1 percent at 8305.25. 


Top Gainers – ONGC, Maruti, TCS, Tata Motors and ITC 

Top Losers – Infosys, Cipla, Vedanta, Axis Bank and L&T 

Gold prices were minimal changed on Friday, as the dollar started to recoup from the past session's downbeat U.S. monetary reports and as businesses peered toward extra U.S. information due later in the day. 

Crude oil future slipped lower on Thursday, after information demonstrated that inventories ascended much more than anticipated a week ago and as business sector members kept on focusing on advancements in Yemen. 

Natural gas, after information demonstrated that U.S. gas inventories climbed more than anticipated a week ago, starting reasons for alarm over a drop sought after for fuel.

24 April Sensex falls over 100 pts; banks drag, ONGC supports

The stock market trading shows bearish behavior; Sensex falls 116 points in early trade while nifty down around the 50 points dragged by financial & banking sector and infrastructure.

Oil prices dropped in the Asian market to take no profit while on the previous sessions it gets sudden profits in the market. 

Crompton greaves plan to sell its electrical business in around Rs 2000 crore says companies managing director.
