Stock and Commodity Market Tips for Today (18th July)

The BSE Sensex is trading at 31834 down 240 points, while Nifty is trading at 9859 down 56 points. A total of 43 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 18 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.04% at 15191, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading down by 0.02% at 15906. Some buying activity is seen in Finance, Telecom Pharma, Auto, while Oil & Gas, Energy, Energy and Consumer Durables are showing weakness on BSE.

Gainers / Losers: ACC, Ultratech Cement, Sun Pharma, CIPLA and Bharti Airtel are among the gainers, whereas ITC, GAIL, Aurobindo Pharma, Hindalco and Reliance are losing sheen on NSE.

Commodity Market Update 

Soybean futures are expected to trade sideways on expectation of revival of monsoon in central India. However, expectation of good crushing demand on reports of hike in import duty may keep the prices supportive. Mustard seed futures expected to trade sideways due to steady demand from the industrial buyers as supplies sufficient in the physical market.

The  BSE Sensex is trading at 31,334 up 22 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9666 up 9 points. A total of 73 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 45 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE mid-cap Index is trading up 0.51% at 14,893, while BSE small-cap Index is trading up 0.47% at 15,727. Some buying activity is seen in IT, Energy and Consumer Durables indices, while Realty index is showing weakness on BSE. Tata Power, Tata Motors, IOC and ICICI Bank are among the gainers, whereas Lupin, HDFC, GAIL and TCS are losing on the NSE. The INDIA VIX is up 0.3% at 10.6.

Equity Tips For Today (13th June)

Equity benchmark indices traded steady after it extended its gains in the previous session, with the Nifty inching closer to 9650-mark. The Sensex was up 98.03 points at 31193.73, while the Nifty was up 25.35 points at 9641.75. The market breadth was slightly narrow as 1,463 shares advanced, against a decline of 888 shares, while 161 shares were unchanged. Midcaps continued to strengthen, while IT stocks cracked, with the IT index on the Nifty falling nearly a percent. HDFC, Lupin, Bank of Baroda and Yes Bank were the top gainers, while Tata Motors, TCS, Tata Motors DVR and Tech Mahindra lost the most.

Commodity Market Update: Currently MCX Gold is 68 points down at 28925 while Silver is also 246 points down at 38919. In Base Metals, Aluminium is trading at 121.05, Copper is live at 371.55 points and Zinc has lost 1.75 points at 157.60.

Benchmark indices regained some momentum after trading off the high points of the day. The Sensex was up 122.68 points at 31260.27, while the Nifty was up 29.65 points at 9645.75. The market breadth was narrow as 1,340 shares advanced against a decline of 895 shares, while 140 shares were unchanged. Bharti Airtel and Cipla were the top gainers, while Tata Steel, HUL and Indiabulls Housing Finance lost the most on both indices. 

TVS Motor Company is up by 2.7% at Rs 548 per share. It has also hit a 52-week high value of Rs 564.55. Hero Motocorp is up by 2.2% at Rs 3816 per share, Motherson Sumi is up by 1.8% at Rs 456 per share. It also hit a 52-week high value of Rs 457.70. Tata Motors is also up by 1.5% at Rs 483 per share. All the major auto stocks are surging due to good sales performance for the month of May 2017. Meanwhile, GVK Power witnessed a sharp surge. It is up 8.2% at Rs 5.62 per share.

Indian Stock Market Riding High; Nifty Touched 8800 level

Nifty 50 has touched 8800 level first time after October 5, 2015. BSE Sensex has moved up 204 points up at 28444 and NSE Nifty has raised 59 points at 8800. Except IT and Teck sector all the other sectors are trading in the positive zone. BSE Small Cap is 135 points up at 13557 while BSE MidCap has moved up 113 points at 13398 and Nifty Midcap is live at 16170 with 135 points hike. Indian Currency Rupee is trading higher by 12 paise at 67.19 against US Dollar.
