Stock and Commodity Market Tips for Today (18th July)

The BSE Sensex is trading at 31834 down 240 points, while Nifty is trading at 9859 down 56 points. A total of 43 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 18 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.04% at 15191, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading down by 0.02% at 15906. Some buying activity is seen in Finance, Telecom Pharma, Auto, while Oil & Gas, Energy, Energy and Consumer Durables are showing weakness on BSE.

Gainers / Losers: ACC, Ultratech Cement, Sun Pharma, CIPLA and Bharti Airtel are among the gainers, whereas ITC, GAIL, Aurobindo Pharma, Hindalco and Reliance are losing sheen on NSE.

Commodity Market Update 
Soybean futures are expected to trade sideways on expectation of revival of monsoon in central India. However, expectation of good crushing demand on reports of hike in import duty may keep the prices supportive. Mustard seed futures expected to trade sideways due to steady demand from the industrial buyers as supplies sufficient in the physical market.

Best Stock & Commodity Tips for Today (7th June)

Benchmark indices were trading strong ahead of the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting outcome. The Sensex was up 131.73 points at 31322.29, while the Nifty was up 36.55 points or 0.38% at 9673.70. The market breadth was healthy as 1,426 shares advanced against a decline of 772 shares, while 136 shares were unchanged. M&M, GAIL and Vedanta were the top gainers, while Wipro, TCS and BPCL lost the most. Silver trading range for the day is 40300-41080. 

Commodity Market Update: MCX Gold is 49 points up at 29518 while Silver has moved down 86 points at 40691. Crude Oil is live at 3093 with minor hike of 3 points and Natural Gas is live at 197.80. Silver prices gained as investor sentiment remained skewed toward safe-haven assets ahead of testimony from the former FBI director and British elections.

Sensex rises over 150 points, Nifty around 9450; Expert Views

Stock Market News: Equity benchmarks continued to trade higher in morning, backed by banking & financials, metals and auto stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 121.43 points to 30,309.58 and the 50-share NSE Nifty gained 39.45 points at 9,440.35. The broader markets extended gains, with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices up 1.1 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively. About 1454 shares advanced against 948 declining shares on the BSE. ITC, ICICI Bank, HDFC, SBI and Mahindra & Mahindra were leading contributors to Sensex gains while Infosys, Reliance Industries, TCS, Adani Ports and Wipro were losers.

Expert View: Yes Bank, Titan, and Idea Cellular, among others, are on the radar of analysts on Monday.

Commodity Market News: Basmati exports from the country was seen a decline of about 4.90 percent, the export share of Basmati from the country is about 20 percent. The export volume for Basmati is estimated at 4 million tons against the 4.046 million tons of previous year. The domestic prices of Wheat and Maize have remained higher than the global market even though the export value and volume declined. This has also restricted the prospects of Indian commodity exports in the global market.

Stock and Commodity Market Update - Crude Oil Slips


The BSE Sensex is trading at 29896 down 229 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9297 down 62 points. A total of 92 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 16 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.73% at 14771, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.45% at 15416.

After reaching a record high of 5.67 million tons of Pulses imports, which is 19.9 percent higher when compared to last year, India's Pulses imports this year is expected to decline to about 20 percent. However the domestic production of Pulses during the Fiscal year 17 was seen at 22.14 million tons, against the normal average consumption of 24 million tons. During 2015-16, the production was only 16.35 million tons due to the drought. Oil prices came down after big drop in previous session. World oil markets remained oversupplied despite OPEC cut. OPEC expected to extend output cut beyond June. Floating storage on tankers on the rise again in Asia.


Gold prices moved higher on Friday, as the U.S. dollar weakened broadly, although the Federal Reserve’s hawkish stance this week was expected to limit the precious metal’s gains. On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for June delivery were up 0.42% at $1,233.72. The June contract ended Thursday’s session 1.59% lower at $1,228.60 an ounce.

Currently, Gold is 83 points up at 28155 and Silver is also rising high with 195 points hike at 38247. Crude Oil has slipped 40 points down at 2891.

BSE Mid-cap index is outperforming the major indices in the market in the morning hours on Friday. 3M India Limited is the top gainer in the index trading at Rs 11775 per share, higher by 4.8%. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited is the biggest contributor to the index gains trading at Rs 527 per share up by 1.8%. Bank Nifty at record high - Latest Stock Market Update

As the stock market awaits Kotak Mahindra Bank's announcement today, speculations over a possible big buyout have sent some stocks including Axis Bank, Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services and Shriram Transport Finance high up. On Tuesday, the stock of these companies shot up by 3 to 5 percent in intraday trades amid expectations of a big buyout or merger announcement in the press conference which billionaire Uday Kotak, Promoter, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Bank will be holding at 3.30 pm today.

Currently, BSE Sensex is 104 points up at 29514 while NSE Nifty50 is 28 points up at 9129. Banking stocks are in focus with the Nifty Bank index hitting a record high level. Bank Nifty is live on 21383 with 158 points up.

Sensex, Nifty Slipping Down - Latest Market Update


Profit booking drags the indices lower and as investors wait for cues from exit poll results of assembly elections. Tata Steel, Hindalco and Axis Bank remain the top losers on both the indices. 

The market fell furthermore in late morning trade as investors looked to book profits ahead of the key exit poll data for assembly elections on Thursday. The NSE Nifty is trading well below 8950-mark while the BSE Sensex is down 64.01 points at 28984.18, while the Nifty was down 24.15 points at 8939.30. The market breadth was negative as 1,032 shares had advanced, while 1,450 shares declined in noon trade. Meanwhile, 137 shares remained unchanged. Bharat Financial Inclusion tanked nearly 7 percent intraday after the microfinance institution indicated a risk of 4.5 percent of its loan book turning bad in the December quarter.

Tata Steel, Hindalco and Axis Bank were major laggards on the indices, while Adani Ports, TCS and BPCL were the top gainers.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28,765 down 73 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,867 down 31 points. A total of 14 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 13 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. BSE Bankex is underperforming on Friday’s trade. ICICI Bank is down by 0.9%, IndusInd Bank is down by 0.9%, Kotak Mahindra Bank is down by 0.8% and Bank of Baroda is down by 0.8%. While Axis Bank is up by 0.6%, Yes Bank is up by 0.5% and Federal Bank is up by 0.2%.

MCX Gold has moved down 31 points at 29139 while Silver is 25 points down at 42618. Cotton slipped 190 points at 21080.

Stock Market Flat - Latest Market Updates

ITC, HDFC, HDFC Bank, and Infosys are collectively pulling the Sensex up. GAIL is the top gainer. The stock has touched a high of Rs 475 per share, up by Rs 15.15 per share or 3.29%. Lyka Labs Limited is outperforming the Healthcare index on BSE. The stock has touched a high of Rs 64.50 per share up by Rs 4.40 per share or 7.32%.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 27076.32 up 41.82 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8376.35 up 27 points. Sensex Nifty Volatile - Stock Tips Today

Indian Stock Market opened lower ahead of global cues, however equity benchmarks are trying to overcome the losses. Sensex has moved up 39 points at 26019 while Nifty is just 10 points up at 7989. BSE MidCap jumped up 43 points at 11851 while BSE SmallCap has jumped up 26 points at 11851.

About 1124 shares have advanced, 1018 shares have declined while 151 shares are still unchanged.

Indian Stock Market Volatile - Asian Market Flat

Post demonitisation market being transient in positive zone. Stock Market Started in the green zone with high positive leads. Currently, Sensex is 60 points up at 25825 and NSE Nifty has hiked 28 points at 7957. Indian Currency, Rupee is trading lower by 3 paise at 68.18 against US Dollar. In broader market, BSE Small Cap is just 2 points up at 11496 while BSE Mdcap is 21 points up at 11755 and Nifty Midcap has gained 22 points at 13980. Sensex opened with 102 points gain but wiped off its early gains and dropped to 27705 with 31 points gain while Nifty is down by 5 points at 8577. Stock Market Moving Up, Commodity Market Down

After the signal of increase in rates from June from Federal Reserve a pressure on Gold prices was seen. Gold prices came down to the level of last month prices. Currently Gold is trading on 29680 Rs per 10gms. Silver too dropped 0.49% to 39648 per kg. After increasing the supply of crude from Iran, prices of Crude Oil fell down 0.85% to Rs 3254 per barrel. After Imposing stock limits on sugar, government took back sugar subsidies at  Rs 45 per quintal. In february government increased the sugar cess from Rs 24 to Rs 124 per quintal. Aluminium and copper are trading positive on 104 and 310 respectively. Sensex is drifting upwards and reached 25,326 points while nifty is currently trading on 7,759 points. Top gainers of NSE are NTPC, Tata Motors, Tata powers, ACC and Utratech Cement on the other hand top gainers of BSE are Tata Motors, NTPC, ICICI, Reliance, HDFC. In NSE Aurobindo Pharma, Idea Cellular, BPCL, Hindalco, Bank of Baroda are moving under the loss and in BSE Bajaj Auto, Sun Pharma, BHEL, ONGC and TCS are going under loss. In Asian Market only Hang Seng is trading Positive at 19830 points.

Boom in Asian Market, Indian Market Stable

Market Updates
On the first day of fresh new week, market opened with the green signal. Sensex is marginally down by 28 points at 25461 and Nifty is hovering around 7800. There is mixed and match outcome of different sectors in India. The biggest loser is S&P BSE BANKEX sector. Today rupee was weak by 13 paise and opened at 66.90 against dollar. A high speed is seen in Asian markets. Benchmark index of Japan Nikkie jumped 200 points and the market of Hong Kong strengthened by 250 points. The top gainer in both NSE and BSE is Dr. Reddys Lab. The top loser in NSE is Bank of Baroda and in that of BSE is SBI. Todays Gold prices are 30,064 and Silver’s price is  41,393. There was a uplift of 34 rupees in crude oil prices at 3,131.

Today's Market Outlook



Last day the international market gave significant signals, so the domestic market got closed with a high status. The predominant index of BSE, Sensex got increased by 80 points and closed at 25772 and the major index of NSE, Nifty got increased by 22 points and closed at 7888 today.This year’s Akshaya-Tritiya didn’t satisfied the jewelers. The much awaited day went away without giving any extra profit to shopkeepers. Comparative to last year this year the price of gold was 11 percent more. However today gold became 250 rupees cheaper. Today there was a little bit decrement of 9 paise in Indian Currency. Crude oil closed on 2899 points. According to the experts, there can be a downfall of about 10 percent in exportation of cotton. Prices of cotton got increased in domestic market. On spotting a light to non-agri sector, increased prices of petrol and diesel are seen. Petrol and diesel got increased by rupees 1.06 and 2.94 respectively.

Leading Stock exchange NSE said that it’s going to introduce a new scheme of weekly options contracts on Bank Nifty index from May 27. They have received an approval for the same from SEBI. These contracts will be made available for trading in future and options segment, this service will come in to effect from march 27.Sources says that Tata Steel may sell its UK assets to Excalibur Steel. Tata Steel UK employees may get offered 10 percent stake from Excalibur Steel. By the end of the week Tata Steel closed at Rs 329.45 which was down by 0.77%. In banking sector, private banks like HDFC Bank were reported with good earnings in their fourth quarter and other banks were having mixed and match numbers.Being cheaper ATF this year, the stocks of Aviation companies are continuing to move upwards regularly. The stocks of Jet Airways, Indigo and Spice jet have made a great jump of 300% this year. The fertilizer firm MCFL (Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited) reported a net loss of about 5.78 crore in its fourth quarter. To promote Make In India, government has decreased the import duty on mobile accessories to 29 percent. For brands like Apple, it would be a tough competition as it is importing Ready-To -Sell products in India. According to the industry, smartphone companies will take their order back of increasing the prices of their products.  At the end of the week Sensex and Nifty were ended comparatively down. The Sensex closed at 25228.50 points this week and was down by 0.13%. And nifty stayed up at 7733.45 points having a tiny downfall of 0.03%.
