Equity Indices Erases Early Gains - Latest Market Updates

Stock Market Updates: Selling pressure took charge on the D-Street in the late morning session as the market erased a huge chunk of its gains. The Sensex dropped down 46.94 points at 30387.85, while the Nifty had lost 24.55 points at 9404.90. The market breadth, however, was negative as 1,031 shares advanced against a decline of 1,385 shares, while 125 shares were unchanged.

Top Gainers: ITC, Yes Bank, HUL, SBI, Axis Bank

Top Losers: Hindalco, Asian Paints, Eicher Motors, TCS, BPCL

Asian Market Updates: Japan's Nikkei is 36 points up at 19590, Hong Kong's Hang Seng moved 51 points up at 25188 and China's Shanghai Composite is 3 points down at 3086.

Commodity Market Update: MCX Gold is just 25 points up at 28730 while Silver has jumpes 215 points at 39104. Natural Gas is maintained at 208 points with no major or minor gains and Crude Oil is 17 points up at 3254.

Stock and Commodity Market Tips for 17th May

Stock Market News 
Benchmark indices continued to trade flat with a positive bias, while the Nifty hovered around 9500-mark. The Sensex was up 18.73 points at 30601.33, while the Nifty was down 3.20 points at 9509.05. The market breadth was very narrow as 1,185 shares advanced against a decline of 1,111 shares, while 118 shares were unchanged. Tata Steel, ICICI Bank and Indiabulls Housing Finance continued to gain, while Wipro, Adani Ports, Tech Mahindra and Yes Bank lost the most. Metals outperformed on the Nifty, with the sector’s index gaining over 2 percent.

Commodity Market News
Crude Oil prices retreated on Wednesday, weighed by renewed concerns that U.S. production is undercutting the global oil cartel’s efforts to put the market back to balance.

Copper trading range for the day is 357.5-365.5. Copper recovered from lows on short covering after prices dropped amid worries about China's slowing economic growth and tighter capital markets in China. China's growth took a step back in April after a surprisingly strong start to the year. The chief executive of Freeport-McMoRan said demand for copper remains strong, with Europe and North America showing steady improvement.

Best Shares To Buy Today (11th April)


Benchmark indices held on to its gains after the Sensex rose over 100 points in the opening trade. The Sensex was up 171.56 points at 29747.30, while the Nifty was up 45.80 points at 9227.25. The market breadth was healthy as 1,683 shares advanced against a decline of 720 shares, while 99 shares were unchanged. ITC, Infosys and Tata Power were top gainers on both the indices, while Tata Steel, NTPC and Zee Entertainment were the top losers. Vedanta share price fell more than 6 percent intraday Tuesday as the stock adjusted for second interim dividend announced by the company last month. 

After FMCG that gains 1% plus, Its Realty sector that surges 0.85% driven by 5.8% and 3.5% gains in Prestige and Unitech. ITC is the top gainer with 2.2%. BPCL and Infy follow. Tata Power turns into a top loser with 3.9% losses.

Sensex, Nifty continue to fall; Bharti, Cipla, HUL gainers - 2 Days Free Trial

Equity Benchmark indices continued to reel under selling pressure amid volatility as investors maintained cautious stance ahead of inauguration speech of Donald Trump as US President later today and after disappointing Axis Bank's earnings. Benchmark indices extended losses again. The Sensex was down 120.06 points at 27188.54 and the Nifty fell 31.20 points to 8403.90. About 1191 shares declined against 974 advancing shares on the BSE.

Asian Market Update: Nikkei has hiked 95 points at 19167 while Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped 144 points steadily at 22905 and Shanghai Composite has gained 19 points at 3121.

IT Stocks Declined, Stock Market Wiped Off Early Gains

Share indices were sharply off the highs touched at open due to a fall in information technology giants Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys. While shares of Infosys wiped the gains due to mixed Oct-Dec earnings, those of TCS were down 2% as changes at the top management and headwinds for the sector led to concern about growth. Currently, Sensex is 58 points down at 27188 while NSE Nifty is 20 points down at 8386.

Asian market is comparitively higher than the the Indian stock market. Nikkei is leading the region with 131 points hike at 19266, Hang Seng is 92 points up at 22921 and Shanghai composite is just 4 points up at 3123.

Stock Market Volatile - Stocks In Focus Today

Benchmark indices gained for third consecutive session amid volatility, with the NSE Nifty hovering around 8400 level. Technology, infra and private banks continued in support of the market whereas metals stocks, FMCG and Pharma were under pressure. The BSE Sensex rose 80.85 points to 27221.26 and the NSE Nifty gained 15.90 points at 8396.55 while the broader markets were moderately lower on weak breadth. About 1156 shares declined against 970 advancing shares on the BSE.

Infosys rallied more than 2 percent after US president-elect Donald Trump in his press conference yesterday did not say anything on H1B Visa Reform bill and ahead of December quarter earnings on Friday afternoon. Healthcare stocks like Lupin, Sun Pharma and Dr Reddy's Labs, which have high exposure to US market, fell over a percent after Donald Trump says pharma companies are getting away with murder, also implying more aggressive bidding and likely to lower down the prices of drug.

Stocks In Focus Today: TCS, MRF, Biocon and NTPC are the stocks that will remain in focus today.

MCX News: MCX Gold has moved 57 points up at 28357 while Silver has hiked 71 points at 41079. Crude Oil has dropped 31 points sharply at 3558 and Cotton has declined 50 points at 20360.

Stock Market Riding High - Stock Tips For Today

The stock market continues to rise as Sensex is 230 points up at 26863 and Nifty is up 75 points at 8265. In Commodity market, MCX Gold has hiked 189 points at 27871 and Silver jumped up 315 points at 40582. Also, Crude Oil has lost 10 points at 3611. Indian currency Rupee is moving high with 38 paise lead at 67.79 against US Dollar.

Adani Ports, Tata Steel, Aurobindo Pharm, Tata Motors and Yes Bank are todays gainers of NSE while Bharti Infratel, M&M, Tech Mahindra and TCS are top losers.

In Asian Market, except Hang Seng all the other global indices are flat. Hang Seng has hiked 325 points at 22460 while Nikkei has lost 73 points at 19520 and Shanghai Composite is 4 points up at 3163.

Sensex Nifty Range Bound, Rupee Recovers.

Equity benchmarks are being rangebound with minor hike of points. Sensex is live at 26356 with 48 points hike and NSE Nifty is 12 points up at 8094. In Broader Market BSE Small Cap has hiked 41 points at 11988 while BSE MidCap is 24 points up at 12028. Currently 1210 shares have advanced, 1085 shares have declined and 165 shares are still unchanged. Rupee is trading higher by 17 points at 67.86 against US Dollar.

Asian Market Updates: Global indices are trading mixed, with Hang Seng leading the region at 21893 with 164 points hike. Japan's Nikkei has dropped 50 points at 19444 while Shanghai Composite is 35 points up at 3138.

Sensex Nifty Sluggish - Latest Market Updates


Stock market opened lower today and IT stocks dragged as US President Donald Trump on Friday pledged to stop companies from abusing the visa process for foreign workers in a way that undermines the labor market for Americans. Sensex dropped 129 points at 26618 while Nifty has lost 53 points at 8208. BSE Small Cap has lost 20 points at 12299, BSE Midcap has declined 73 points at 12462 and Nifty Midcap is 93 points down at 14837. Metals, PSU and Capital Goods Sector are still strugging in the positive zone with minor leads.

Commodity and Currency Market are closed on account of Eid-E-Milad

About 976 shares have advanced, 1104 shares declined and 104 shares are still unchanged.

Sensex Nifty Struggle Continues - Stocks In Focus Today

Stock market benchmark indices are struggling on a consolidated note. Indices opened flat, Sensex is 37 points down at 26193 while NSE Nifty is 9 points down at 8077. SmallCap and MidCap sectors are pulling the market up with their small profits. SmallCap is 20 points up at 12103, BSE Midcap is 33 points up at 12232 Nifty Midcap has gained 34 points at 14549. 

About 1281 shares have advanced, 936 shares have declined and 106 shares are still unchanged. In Commodity segment, Gold prices had a little hike of 39 points at 28150 while Silver is 32 points down at 41307.

Equity Benchmarks Under Selling Pressure - Rupee Fell Down

The market continues to struggle ahead of November Futures and Options expiry today. Selling pressure continues over the market. The BSE Sensex is down 105.71 points or 0.4 percent at 25946.10 and the 50-share index Nifty is down 37.90 points or 0.5 percent at 7995.40. About 1135 shares have advanced, 929 shares declined, and 110 shares are still unchanged. Indian Currency Rupee has striked the 9 months lowest today.

In Bullion Market MCX Gold dropped 157 points at 28672 and Silver is 383 points down at 40143. In Energy sector, Natural Gas trading at 207 points with mere drop of 2.50 points and Crude Oil has lost 13 points at 3305.

In Asian Market, Nikkei is 191 points up at 18354 while Hang Seng is 66 points down at 22610 and Taiwan Index is trading 26 points down at 9152.

Post demonitisation market being transient in positive zone. Stock Market Started in the green zone with high positive leads. Currently, Sensex is 60 points up at 25825 and NSE Nifty has hiked 28 points at 7957. Indian Currency, Rupee is trading lower by 3 paise at 68.18 against US Dollar. Equity benchmark indices being volatile moving continuously in positive and negative graph. Currently Sensex is 51 points up at 26350 and Nifty has paced up 11 points at 8122. In broader market, sectors are trading mixed. BSE Small Cap is 39 points down at 11868, BSE Midcap has dropped 11 points at 12032 and Nifty Midcap lost 21 points at 14273. After a week, market has opened in green territory with high leads. Sensex has gained 202 points at 27476 and Nifty is 74 points up at 8507. Indian Currency Rupee, is trading down by 2 paise at 66.72. Small Cap and MidCap sectors are outperforming today. Commodity Market Flat, Stock Market Down

Stock Market opened flat today. Sensex has dropped 122 points at 27714 and Nifty has dropped 52 points at 8563. All the major sectors are trading down today. BSE Small cap has lost 84 points at 13344, BSE MidCap lost 149 points at 13271 and Nifty Midcap is 173 points down at 15617.

Currently 901 shares have advanced, 1420 shares have declined and 176 shares are still unchanged. Gold has hiked 56 points at 29890 and Silver has drifted up 62 points at 42178.

In energy sector, natural gas has hiked 3 points at 204.40 and Crude Oil is 12 points up at 3309.

Mindtree Stocks Declined 6 Percent - Latest Stock Market Updates

Stock market opened flat today, equity benchmarks are still trading in the positive zone. Sensex has hiked 51 points at 28128 and Nifty is 11 points up at 8704. BSE Small cap has hiked 84 points at 13516, BSE Midcap is 24 points up at 13626 and Nifty Midcap is 3 points down at 16067.

In commodity market, MCX Gold has lost 86 points at 29860 while Silver jumped 52 points at 42010 and Crude Oil has dropped 8 points yet at 3394.
